    Meet the Founder

    Misty Monroe Clark

Misty Monroe Clark is an actor, educator, and founder of UBlack Productions Inc. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts, a Master's in Multicultural and Bilingual Education, and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential.

With over 15 years in theater education, Misty founded UBlack Productions to address the gap in arts programming for African American and Latino students in underserved Los Angeles communities. Her culturally responsive approach integrates students' identities and experiences into every lesson, empowering them to tell their own stories on stage. Having brought transformative theater programming to correctional facilities, Misty is now focused on serving elementary schools with plans to expand to middle and high schools in the future.
